English-born, Tokyo-based music photographer
Growing up in cosy Warwickshire, England with an affinity for landscapes and loud music, a digicam gifted to me one childhood birthday sowed the seed for a passion for making images early on - but it was a chance encounter at a Nottingham photography studio that led to me picking up a film camera and falling in love with photography. Nowadays I employ a healthy mixture of film and digital photography, aiming to shoot natural, moody, documentary-like images.
A resident of Tokyo for over 3 years now, my time here has seen me documenting the city's underground music scene, from extreme heavy metal to shoegaze, alternative pop, and more.
Though I'm most active as a photographer, my creative output has also included self-released music, dabbling in audio production, and contributing to independent music publications as a freelance writer (I also coded this entire website myself).
